Learning goals: Primary Focus of Lesson Foundational Skills • Students will orally segment words with two or three phonemes. • Students will provide the corresponding sound when presented with the following lowercase letters: ‘m’, ‘n’, ‘p’, ‘t’, ‘d’, ‘f’, ‘v’, ‘c’, ‘g’, ‘s’, ‘z’, ‘h’, ‘i’, ‘a’, ‘o’. • As the teacher reads Pet Fun aloud, students will track print from top to bottom, left to right, and will read some phrases aloud. • Students will read and spell simple CVC words.
