Switching Middle Vowel Sounds: Level 2 (CVCC)

In this activity, kindergarten students practice phonemic awareness by switching the middle vowel in CVCC words. This exercise can be used flexibly throughout the day–from small groups to morning routines–to help students understand sound manipulation, enhancing their reading and decoding skills. Make sure your students are proficient in switching out middle sounds in CVC words in our Switching Middle Vowel Sounds: Level 1 activity first!
