Today’s Materials Warm-Up: • Teacher Presentation Screens • Centers and Lesson Resources Kit: Activity PDF, Cyrus Picture Cards (for students’ use), Visual Display PDF, Cyrus Pictures Labels (for display) • Classroom materials: chart paper (for teacher’s use), markers (for teacher’s use), tape (for teacher’s use) • Prepare: Use chart paper and markers to create a three-column chart titled “How Do You Feel About Doing Math?” Attach the images from the Visual Display PDF as the category labels. Small Group Activity: • Who Is Math For?, Unit Story book (from Unit 1) • Centers and Lesson Resources Kit: Activity PDF, Math Is for ME! (for students’ use) • Classroom materials: crayons (optional), pencils (optional), How Do You Feel About Doing Math? chart (from the Warm-Up) • Prepare: Make a copy of the Activity PDF, Math Is for ME! for each student.
